The AquaTru itself is great
"The AquaTru itself is great for providing clean water. The issue is customer service. As long as nothing goes wrong with your filter, you'll be fine. The moment it does .. you're doomed. I've had two issues with my AquaTru and there's one pattern: every time you call the customer rep will tell you something entirely different. For example, my Wifi AquaTru isn't updating in the app that I've changed the filters. I called customer service after 1 week (maybe more) of having changed the filters and not seeing an update in my app. The customer service rep, who was extremely rude and patronizing, told me that it takes 2 weeks to update in the app...even though the app tells you it will take a few days. He also made sure to let me know that it was my fault for changing two filters at once...even though both filters needed to be changed (???). When I asked to talk to somebody else (because my prior experience with AquaTru has shown me that different reps give different answers) they told me that it should take a few days and very very rarely does it take 2 weeks. When I asked why the other customer rep told me it takes always 2 weeks, he said that wasn't true and he wasn't sure why they said that. I appreciate the second rep, who was a supervisor, for apologizing for the rude experience I had with Larry but the pattern of different reps having different answers for the same question is consistently worrisome. You end up feeling like you're throwing spaghetti at a wall and hoping one of the myriads of answers you get from their team works since nobody is able to agree on the best course of action for any related AquaTru issue. Not to mention them promising to call you back to figure out the issue and not calling back or leaving a single note in my file for the next customer rep to know what was happening. As I said, your AquaTru is amazing as long as it's working. The moment it breaks or has any minor issue...you're absolutely (ABSOLUTELY!) doomed."

It’s a great machine that
"It’s a great machine that removes a lot of tap water chemicals & toxins. I’ve been using since they introduced this item. The only downsides of this machine that I feel should be looked into is a bigger capacity water container. It’s costly enough that you need to buy a additional pitcher just to maintain for drinkable water especially with big families. And the other is when you wash the unit if it’s not totally dry it will not got through a cycle of water. It’s frustrating to have to wait unless you get it completely dry."
It's great. The best option
"It's great. The best option I could find for on demand water without wasting money and getting buried in plastic bottles. Yields very pure and good tasting water. The dispenser is high flow rate which is a big plus for me. Only downside is the dispenser can be leaky which can be a bit annoying. Also, I wish it were a little quieter for the ~10 minutes it takes to filter a new tank, but nothing I can't live with."

"I was very excited to use this system but there is a very strange smell in the water tank that I can’t seem to get of. I noticed it immediately when unpacking the machineZ I’ve washed it multiple times with soap and water and even ran I little bit of vinegar through it but the smell is still there! It makes the water taste strange as well."
