AquaTru Carafe Alkaline purifies and alkalises drinking water. The compact water filtration system contains a durable removable glass water carafe that fits in the refrigerator. AquaTru Carafe Alkaline filters through a 4-stage filtration, via Ultra Reverse Osmosis®, removing more than 99% of all contaminants from tap water. AquaTru Carafe Alkaline includes an Alkaline VOC Carbon filter with pH+ Mineral Boost. This filter removes VOC contaminants, adds healthy minerals, and alkalises your drinking water. The difference with AquaTru Carafe is that AquaTru Carafe Alkaline adds minerals to the filtered water in the last step of the filtration process. The system is so compact that it fits anywhere: on the kitchen counter, in your practice room, or on the counter or desk of your office.

Thanks to its compact size, AquaTru Carafe fits well on the countertop in the kitchen, on the counter of your office or in your practice. The durable borosilicate glass water pitcher pours easily and has a capacity of 1.9 litres. The removable glass carafe fits in the refrigerator, so you can cool the water. AquaTru Carafe is not only easy to use, you also save costs, since you no longer have to buy plastic bottles of water. This is also beneficial for the environment.
Purification process
Using AquaTru Carafe, the reverse osmosis water filtration system, is easy. Fill the rear tank with tap water and the system does the rest. AquaTru Carafe uses a multi-stage purification process via a sediment filter, a pre-carbon filter, a reverse osmosis membrane and a post-carbon filter. Together, these four filters remove contaminants from water such as chlorine, lead, arsenic, fluoride and more. The result is pure, clean and delicious drinking water. The filtering process only takes a few minutes. You can also use the purified water for hot drinks or for cooking.

"I do like the aquatru carafe but I expected to be a state of the art design and it is not. The tank doesn't stay very fit on the back, the design could be had been more careful and create a better stable fit."

"De filtratie zelf lijkt goed te werken en ik ben blij dat het gefilterde water in een glazen karaf terechtkomt. Toch zijn er een paar punten die beter kunnen. De handleiding is op sommige plaatsen onduidelijk geformuleerd, vooral rond het lampje “Empty/Refill Tap Tank” en wat je precies moet doen wanneer de gefilterde karaf al vol is. Na contact met de support werd dit wel duidelijk uitgelegd, maar die uitleg zou eigenlijk gewoon helder in de handleiding moeten staan. Ook het gebruiksgemak kan beter: op het waterreservoir ontbreekt een duidelijke aanduiding tot waar je exact mag/moet vullen. Bij een toestel in deze prijsklasse verwacht je gewoon een duidelijke max-lijn of vulmarkering. Daarnaast vind ik het jammer dat er nog vrij veel plastic onderdelen in contact komen met het water, zeker bij een product dat zich richt op zuiverder drinkwater. Ook blijft de smaak van de filters/plastic vrij lang hangen; zelfs na meerdere spoelbeurten was die bij ons nog merkbaar. Kort gezegd: sterk filtersysteem, goede support, maar de documentatie, vulmarkering, materiaalkeuze en initiële smaakervaring kunnen beter."

Tasty water, small tank for 3+ people
"The device works great; the water tastes like it's fresh from the mountains. It's louder than what I expected but still not too loud – I can barely hear it behind the closed door. This is the first water filter I ever tried using at home, and I find it a little annoying to always have to change the back water tank: away with the wastewater and in with the new. If I were buying again, I would probably opt for an 'on the tap' filter. I live with one person, but if we have people over, we need to refill the back tank many times per day."
