Lemon Iced Tea

Summer isn’t complete without a tall glass of sweet tea, and this homemade lemon iced tea takes it to the next level. Using whole fresh lemons—juice and peel—plus fresh mint leaves, this recipe delivers a flavour-packed, refreshing drink you can't get from a bottle. The recipe involves making a lemon peel-infused simple syrup on the stove, ensuring no undissolved sugar. Then, simply brew the tea bags and mix in the syrup, fresh lemon juice, cold water, and ice. Pour, serve, and enjoy the perfect summer refresher!

  • What you need:

    • 2 litres of AquaTru filtered water
    • 2 large lemons (peel + juice)
    • 1¼ cups sugar
    • 2 cups fresh mint leaves (plus extra for garnish)
    • 6 black tea bags
    • ½ cup fresh lemon juice
  • How to do it:

    1. Make the syrup – Simmer lemon peel, sugar, and 1 cup AquaTru filtered water until dissolved. Strain and set aside.
    2. Brew the tea – Steep tea bags in 1 litre of hot AquaTru filtered water for 5 minutes. Remove bags.
    3. Combine & chill – Stir in the lemon syrup, fresh lemon juice, and remaining AquaTru filtered water.
    4. Serve over ice – Garnish with mint and enjoy a crisp, refreshing sip!

    💡 Tip: For extra flavor, let the mint steep with the tea bags.
