Super Berry Smoothie

Super Berry Smoothie

What if five minutes was all it took to set yourself up for a perfect summer day? Frozen berries, creamy yogurt, and a handful of rolled oats blended into something genuinely filling and deeply fruity. Naturally sweet, surprisingly substantial, and good for you in all the right ways.

Frozen berries are nutritional heavyweights in the most convenient packaging available. Loaded with anthocyanins and polyphenols, they have been associated with reduced inflammation, improved cardiovascular health, and stronger antioxidant capacity. Porridge oats are good too. Their soluble fibre, beta-glucan, is well documented for its ability to support healthy cholesterol levels, which is why this smoothie keeps you going long after the glass is empty.

The quality of your liquid base matters. Chlorine from tap water can dull the natural brightness of good berries. Using AquaTru-filtered water or milk ensures those flavours come through exactly as they should, clean and vivid from the first sip.

  • What you need:

    • 450 g frozen mixed berries
    • 450 g fat-free strawberry yogurt
    • 100 ml milk (or AquaTru-filtered water for a lighter version)
    • 25 g porridge oats
    • 10 ml honey (approximately 2 tsp), optional
  • How to do it:

    1. Add the frozen berries, yogurt, and milk (or filtered water) to a blender or use a stick blender in a deep jug.
    2. Blend until completely smooth and creamy.
    3. Stir through the porridge oats and leave to rest for one minute so they soften into the mixture.
    4. Pour into four glasses and finish with a drizzle of honey for a touch of extra sweetness. Serve straight away.

Tips: The oats will thicken the smoothie as they sit, so get this into glasses quickly for the best texture. Going dairy-free? Swap the yogurt for a coconut or oat-based alternative and use AquaTru-filtered water in place of milk.
